Newer communities draw relocation and family stays that run longer than a weekend, which helps outside the summer peak. Summer and Stampede are still the busiest weeks, and November and February are the quietest, as they were for our own homes.
Before you list in Rangeview
- Every short-term rental in Calgary needs a City of Calgary business licence in the owner’s name, and the licence number has to appear on the listing. We help with the application.
- A secondary suite you rent to guests must be a legal, registered suite. If yours isn’t registered yet, sort that out first; we’re happy to talk it through.
- New build? Ask your builder about warranty items before guests arrive, so repairs don’t land mid-stay.

My Rangeview home is brand new. Is that a problem for guests?
Usually it’s a plus: guests like new homes. The things to watch are furnishing, window coverings and builder warranty items. We’ll go through them at the initial inspection so they’re sorted before the first booking.
My new build has a suite. Can I list both?
Only a legal, registered suite can be rented to guests. If it is, the house and suite can be separate listings, each with its own guests, cleans and supplies.
