Privacy policy

2657496 ALBERTA LTD. (“BowLine Co-Hosting”, “we”) runs bowlinecohosting.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s PIPEDA.

What we collect

  • Rental assessment requests: your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number; the home’s neighbourhood, type and bedrooms; whether it’s listed on Airbnb and, if you give it, the listing link; your message; if you tell us, how you heard about us; and, if your home is outside our service area, whether you’d like us to email you when we start serving it.
  • Coaching requests: your name, email and, if you give one, your message.
  • Owner portal: your name, email, the homes you’re linked to, documents you upload, and your acknowledgements and notes on walk-through findings.
  • Guest information: for homes we co-host, only a guest’s first name, stay dates, number of nights and payout amount. We don’t store guest last names, contact details or messages in our systems.
  • Website analytics: if we measure visits, we use a privacy-friendly service that counts page views and form submissions without cookies or personal identifiers.
  • Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address, to tell people from bots.

How we use it

To arrange your rental assessment or coaching and reply to you, to run the co-hosting service and owner portal if you become a client, and to meet our legal obligations. We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Where it’s stored

Our database is hosted by Neon, and our website and email run on Cloudflare. Some of this processing may happen outside Canada. We use service providers only as needed to run the site and service.

Money

We never collect or hold guest payments or owners’ payouts. Airbnb pays owners directly, and pays our co-hosting fee through its co-host payout settings. Owners pay the listing setup fee and any upkeep we arrange to us directly by e-Transfer or cheque; we keep only the records needed to invoice them.

How long we keep it

We keep assessment and coaching requests only as long as we need them to reply and follow up, then delete them. If you become a client, your co-hosting agreement sets out how long we keep your records after you leave, except where the law requires us to keep them longer.
